Catherine Scoville, LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker experienced in working with children and families. She graduated with an Honors Bachelor's of Arts degree in Psychology from Saint Anselm College and completed her Master's degree in Social Work from Simmons College in Boston, MA.
She was previously a therapist and the Assistant Director at the Prospects Extended Day Treatment Program through the Child Guidance Center of Mid-Fairfield County where she offered parent guidance sessions, family sessions, individual sessions with children, collaboration with schools/other providers, and facilitated a parent support group, multi-family group, and various clinical groups for children. She also coordinated the intern program at the Center for Master's and Bachelor'slevel interns and has experience supervising Bachelor's level Social Work interns.
Catherine has interest and experience with trauma informed care, play therapy, narrative therapy, and the use of the expressive arts to alleviate and treat symptoms of anxiety, depression, anger, aggression, hyperactivity/impulsivity, and trauma related stressors. She also has experience with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and psychodynamic psychotherapy.
